Elecampane has antimicrobial, antiprotozoal, anthelmintic, anti-inflammatory, expectorant effects. It enhances bile secretion, improves liver function, reduces the acidity of gastric juice, restores the normal microbial flora of the intestine, which prevents the reproduction of pathogenic microorganisms.
