Inuline is a polysaccharide component (up to 45%) of burdock root that binds and removes toxic metabolites, at the same time activating functioning of all excretory systems; it is a nutritious substrate for beneficial gut bacteria. It facilitates absorption of vitamins and minerals, improves fat metabolism, stimulates hematopoiesis. Active component Aspargin (10-11%) has anti-tumor and anti-metastatic activity.
Burdock roots contain up to 12.5 % of protein, essential oils (up to 0.17 %), tannins, amarines, palmitic and stearic acids, sitosterol, phytosterol, stigmasterol, gum, tar, micro- and macroelements (copper, titan, boron, manganese, strontium, zinc, tin, vanadium and iron); soluble dietary fibers.
